Scheduled Daily Session Worker Descriipton:

General Goal: To be the primary public and internal staff for the Unity Network during the time you are working within the daily Work Sessions.

Our long term goal is eventually to be functional 24 hours a day 365 days a year, but for now we are starting with just two work sessions per day, which is 14 sessions per week that we need to be filled.

During these sessions you will have a variety of roles and responsibilities depending on the day. Each day will be a little different, but there will be underlying themes which will be outlined here.

Requirements for the Position:
Summary:
Fluent English or Global Simplified English
(If you do not speak Fluent English, we accept people who are learning english and can speak and understand basic Globish, or Global Simplified English which is typically much slower, but we would expect a reduced rate.) (Additionally if you do not speak english, we will be accepting other languages at reduced rates.)

Connect to the Conference Call Line by Phone or internet (need a voice connection)
(If you don’t have voice connection, there may still be some internal work you can help with, although if you can’t use voice, we would expect a reduced rate) We are also able to cover the cost of long distance phone calls or additional minutes as needed, but you will ONLY get reimbursed with documented phone statements)

Have access to the internet either by computer or smart phone an able to respond to emails, post on social media, and other internet based interactions
(If you don’t have a computer, you can use a smart phone, but we would expect a reduced rate.) We will cover costs for use of a computer in a computer lab, but would expect a reduced rate. If you do not have a computer or a smart phone, but have access to a regular phone you can still be involved for some basic internal work that can be done simply with your voice, but you will be expected to have a reduced rate.)


Types of Work you will be doing:

LIFE Support - You will be working with Jay to help meet a variety of goals and help with tasks. Much of the time this will be related to Listening/Learning/Training, as well as Administrative Support, but can also be relate dot Executive support, and personal Support, as well as helping other people with meeting their basic life needs. Outreach/Promotions, Social Media, & Fundraising - The First step of the Position is to let people know we are here, and that they can contact us. This will include all sorts of outreach including social media posting, as well as craigslist and other forums. For more info on Outreach/Promotions: 

Answer Questions and Field Public Inquiries: We will be an internet based organization, but we will let people know that they can contact us during our “OPEN” hours while you are working so that they can ask any questions by phone, email, social media, texting etc…. You will need to be able to do your best to understand what people are asking, and then to point them in the right direction so they can get their question answered, including sending emails to someone else to answer their question. Training: You will be involved in learning and getting training yourself from a variety of sources including live training, as well as watching training videos. You will also be involved in helping make training videos, and helping train other people including new workers, volunteers, as well as participants who want to get involved and want to learn how to help. Session Support: On certain days we will be hosing meeting with bigger groups of people. On these days you will be expected to help run the meetings, and make sure everything is done professionally, and answer people’s questions as needed.

Other Support Needs: There are endless other details that will come up that need help, including all sorts of other administrative and executive tasks. Everyday will bring something different, but our goal is having a stable work environment.
